I haven't measured it yet. But, mW output is hardly the point of this diode. It's a beautiful color, very expensive, and too valuable to push to a burner just to kill it quickly. This diode is just to SEE...Which is very easy to do. It turns out that it's a slow burner when focused and close up, but I won't be using it for that. Assuming it's efficiency is average, it's outputting somewhere around 100mW. I'll let you know when I unpack my Ophir this week.

Edit: I have one of my FastTech modules cranked way the hell up (again, not measured yet) and through my goggles, I cannot see an appreciable difference is brightness between the dots. The color, however, is significantly different, as long as you keep the diode cool.

Most of mine have been 70-90mw lately. I refuse to touch the pot after killing 2.
I have also received two dead ones recently but if you ship it to Florida in the us they refund you shipping and send you new one.

I found this and it does 5% of everything and it worked

I have a feeling (not sure) that the ban came from a post in a thread of mine where he called out a certain LPM maker who was making quite rude comments, and he quipped back. It's funny how the Mods choose to leave said rude comments from the veteran member, but deleted my response and awillis' too, making us appear in the wrong. Not the first time I've noticed such behavior.

I wonder if the veterans are getting called out for their rude/trolling comments privately, while we just get deleted w/ no explanation.

On a whim I decided to check out they're website this morning and presto, no more 50mw modules. No surprise to me! Another note, they're 5mw pens although badass are marked "DealExtreme.."

I ordered another module and it worked fine for about 10 seconds. The packaging was a little different this time - there was bubble wrap around the circuit board only and not the entire module as before. I wonder if it's from a different manufacturer. :( I was going to put it in a pen for a friend but I'm so fed up now I'm just going to tell him to order the single AAA pen off their site and be done with it. As someone else said, we may have bought up all the good ones.

Edit - while I'm here - is the divergence at least decent on the AAA pen laser?

The divergence is pretty good. They are already set in the factory but you can still turn the front part of the module for better ( or worser) dot.

Have you a picture of the latest 50mm module ? They are different from the one in the first post ?

What about the pen they sell that uses 2 AAA's? (how is the divergence)

I took pics this morning of the dead module and will upload them when I get a chance to crop them.

I know i'm serious considering making a email contact list or something because it was kind of hard contacting people unless I could find you email or facebook. I was able to find most peoples info though Paypal and such.
