Hello Everyone,

I got my Nospin meter a few days ago. You've already seen the pictures and the reviews are correct so I won't go into all that stuff.

I like the meter, yes it does look like a clock radio :) but it works great for the money. The box is pretty good, it's metal and pretty stiff for it's thickness. If the box only came in woodgrain I can see why Nospin used it.

The only thing I can add to whats already been posted about this meter is a video showing it's response.

Here it is reading a 5mw red and a 150mw green. Both lasers are right on spec. The reason I put this up was to show it's repeatability.

YouTube - powermeter.avi

I'll be taking it to a friends place to check it against his Coherent meter later this week but it certainly looks like its working properly.

I made a cover to protect my sensor. If anybody else gets this meter I would suggest you put a cover on it too. It's brand new, you don't want to mess it up.

We now offer a Li-ion rechargeable compact battery pack that can run the meter for up to 24 continuous hours.
It comes with its own charger that is compatible with the meters main power adapter and power cable for only $30

There is nothing in my opinion special about this meter. It is essentially an almost exact clone of my Kenometer Lites that I was selling for a lot cheaper. The enclosure utilizes a cheezy looking wood grain, that looks like my alarm clock. Granted my enclosures for the lites weren't all that special, but my meters weren't highly elevated like this.

The head does not auto zero. I know, I've got a ton of them. As a matter of fact, you got yours from the exact same source I did, which now that they are all gone, I'm not afraid to reveal. EBAY.

Ya gonna copy the pro and usb next?

I have been looking at LPM's for a bit now planning to pick one up someday soon. But I am a little curious why everyone jumped down 'nospin's throat when he responded to Kenom, but for some reason it is ok for Kenom to talk trash about a new competative product without anyone saying a word?

I get that Kenom has been a member for a while and has established himself, I know we also have Laserbee, and now nospin making LPM's. I guess I had just thought that long standing and generally well thought of members of the forums would be more respectful to the other members.

There was absolutely nothing within the review or nospin's information to indicate in any way that he copied Kenom's design, they weren't even physically similar in any way. And to my knowledge Kenom doesn't have a nospin LPM to compare, yet he has no problems coming straight out and making accusations about nospin copying his design. So far the only similarity that we have seen is that they 'may' be using the same sensor, but that is not even confirmed. And even if that's the case IT'S A PREBUILT SENSOR. nospin is no more copying Kenom's design than kenom is copying dozens of other designs that also use the same sensor.

I don't mean to stir anything up but I have to be frank and say that it really bothered me to see Kenom start in on nospin with not a single peep from the community but the second nospin reply's you guys jump down his throat.

I'm not playing favorites, I have no LPM currently and can't speak at all to quality of any of them. I have absolutely no ties or anything invested with any of the people involved. The responses here simply bothered me when I read through the thread and I thought I would comment on what I saw.

The response from Kenom was not very tasteful, nor was nospin's reply but the fact that you guys jumped down the new guys throat gives me that "scam" vibe where people are purposely talking up one product over another. Just to clarify I know that Kenom's products are not a scam, I am simply stating it gave me that same vibe.
