Those are matches from my old land survival days (AF Issue).  I believe they were waterproof so maybe coated with wax.  I was also trying to think of something different to do, rather then the old lighting matches the normal way. If anyone has any ideas let me know. This weekend I'm gonna try to pop a balloon from around 100 feet then 150 feet

I added a paper burn video using 20lb HP stock paper. It was a comparison between the Hercules and SkyLasers PGL. You can see the SkyLaser burn on the other review thread. Anyway, the Herc took about 6 seconds to burn through vs the Sky PGL taking about 10 seconds. 2 points: One is the beam width of the Herc is less than 1.5mm vs 1.5 to 2.0mm on the SkyLaser. Second point is the Skylaser burns a larger hole. So after consultation with a board of scientific laser specialist ;D I determined the score was even...as long as your goal is to burn the same size area in the same amount of time
