First off let me say Thanks for this great meter Jerry
ok it arrived nicely packaged from Canada Eh j/k
i tested my Nova X100 it was right on as tested by nova 121-126 peak
i did three 60 second tests a few minutes apart each was the same
it went to 125 mw then after 45 seconds went to 121 then after 60 seconds held at 121 a very stable unit 1 mw off from novas tests

also tested was my pocket bluray at 130 ma -115 mw steady nice
i have my Rpl charging fresh batteries cause i was getting weired readings earlier i will up date on performance after i get a fresh battery

ok on fresh batteries this thing is rad starts of at 489 after a 30 second warm up then after two minutes or so goes slowly to 398 -very happy

tested two dildas 155 and 165  typical i guess its from dx lol

sentek 16x in a pen host at 300 ma -175 mw powered by 2 10440's

re-tested my infinity 95 it starts at 80 then slowly goes to 102 then stays there steady for 60 seconds just like techlasers said it does hmmm sorry techlasers you were telling the truth -it seemed weak i'm thinking it must have a little bit of a divergence problem

others tested son  532nm aka jacob's modded glp105 22 mw  :D steady

son justin's glp 105 18 mw peak then dropps after 12-18 seconds to 8 mw :'(

son john jr's glp 105 18 mw steady  ;D

Dr-lava leadlight 85 mw just as he qouted me when purchased

I ran out of lasers to test - so now i must create or purchase more muh ha ha ha ha ha :-X

ok just got the famous kenometer
ok i tested my lasers on the batts that were in them without recharging them i warmed up the lasers -well the dpss ones anyways here it is as tested by me about 30 second tests

  Kenometer Laserbee-1

bluray build 119mw     118mw

infinity95     101 99

dx 200 red   127 124

x100 116 118

rpl375 on #1 setting     240 242

other dx 200 150 153

diy sentek at 300 ma     176 173

boy these were very close my rpl jumped around so much i left it on its lowest setting it seemed more stable that way the kenometer is a tough built unit i wish i had purchased it earlier
the laserbee is also a tough unit if you put it in a tough box lol
over all they were too close to tell apart one would show a mw or two higher or lower but that could have been a number of things  i still say buy your laserbee before they are all gone

Hey John...

Great review of the LaserBee I and the Kenometer side by side... I'm sure a lot of
members here wanted to know for sure... We knew the Kenometer's accuracy was
there... now we know a little more...  ;)
Thanks for your efforts..

Nice comparison John_Lawson

What did you mean by the greens comment?

Oh the parts for the Kenometer are still available, just not as cheap as before though.

on my cni x100 and infinity 95 a pretty smooth out put
but my rpl 375 jumped like a wild horse on both meters
it goes from 450 to 250 in seconds why i dont know
it usually stays around 350-375 i'm not going to bitch about it i've heared and read high powered units are a bit unsteady am I wrong ?

no it was set on my bed aimed at the test areas of the meters pretty stationary -did i do somthing wrong  :-?

like i sated earlier i really dont know a lot about testing lasers
1) temp of area tested in ?
2) battery full half ect ?
3)time unit is to be tested??
4) warm up unit for X amount of time before the test ?

if anyone has pointers I'm all ears as a ferangie would say
i'm open to help  aka tell me what the heck I'm doing ? ;D ;D

Hi John,
Make sure the battery is Fully charged, the RPL does require good current. Also make sure to allow the laser to warm up some.

I believe from my testing, the ideal temp is around 72F, lastly clean the threads on the end cap with some Dexoit, if you don't have any of it (RS sells the lower 5% kind, the 100% is much better though), you can also clean it in a pinch with a simple pencil eraser. It may look fine, but you'll probably find you'll get some oxidation off of the threads, you'd be surprised at how small a resistance change, can effect the output of the Laser....that is how the adjustable cap works.
