It's always the opposite. Lasers sold as 5mw are overspec yet those labeled 30mW+ are underspec.

That's why I always recommed those eBay newwish pens to those who want cheap overspec lasers.

Couldn't agree more. Furthermore, the overspec "5mW" ones are cheaper than "30+mW" pens.

Don´t know what happened, but gave the AA a bit more time of using. Now it performs better than it should :D

Output power is 38mW now, straight nice, narrow beam.
I engraved the new power, rounded down:

Lol, you should engraved it with another laser. 38mW should be rounded up to 40. :D
