etimeshop BR and green pens from ebay

There is really no review needed, as everyone is familiar with the New Wish type of China laser pen. I was just impressed by the power output on these particular units.

Anyway, from my green pen that they sell as 5mW, I ended up with 54mW max and held stable above 50. I'm sure a lot of this is IR, as this laser is nowhere near as bright as my CNI pen, which also did 54mW on the same day. Still, it is pretty neat to get a laser that is more than 10x overspec. :beer: Probably only 20+/- mW of green though.

The BR from the same order holds steady at 36mW. Poor divergence as always.

Really inexpensive, performs better than they claim.

etimeshop is his username on ebay. There are quite a few threads around (maybe old now) about him and his BR pens. I learned about him here on LPF. As they say, apparently the Chinese are just making pens and don't give a crap what the output is. Just say it's 5mW so you're allowed to sell it on ebay. When really, they have no idea (and don't care) how much power it makes. I think I may have one of the most "overspec" greens yet. Others have me beat on the BR easily.

I wrote etime and asked if the ones(BRs) they are selling now are the same as the ones I got when they were first listed-- they said yes =- same exact BRs-- quite a big shipping discount for an order of 10-- ends up at less that $10 each- and quick shipping(considering)--go for it---all overspec so far.

You're BR has bad divergence? Mine is amazing, it's like 3mm at aperture and almost exactly the same at 30 feet. Definitely less than 1 mRad. Glad to see you're happy with it; those Blu-Rays are a steal at $7-8.

well i have received five of the BR lasers till now and they had a prety bad divergence..

But it was soo easy to fix it.. the silver cap i can remove with my bare hands and
Lens is glued only with two tiny blobls of some rubbery glue which you can easily remove with some needle.
then just turn the lens till you get desired focus and you can glue it again..
