Normally I don't rant about things like hosts.
Ehgemus host deserves an exception! Was getting kind of tried of all the cheap dx hosts I had. So I contacted Harold and told him exactly what I wanted. A proper plagiarized RPL like he made for Jordan
This host has a massive 32650 “FeiLong” Li-Ion. Thing is I wanted two head plates since I would be using this with both a 9mm diode and a M140. Harold was a pleasure to work with! About a week later I got a packet here in Sweden.
Dang I have seen fine workmanship but this was off the chain! I was only expecting two plates for the diodes. No, Harold had made the entire heads with focus rings etc for each diode! Means I can just screw in the entire head I feel like using in 3 seconds!
As far as fit and polish. All I can say is … WOW!
The only part missing was the boost.
I sent a whimpering mail to lazeerer explaining my boost predicament. Was thinking he did not have time to dick around with my driver problem. Wrong … lazeerer stepped up to plate. Not because he needed to but because he is good decent guy! :thanks:
His mail starts out with “NO worries buddy. Sure I can...” Lazeerer saved the day! :beer:

A little update.
I wanted this build to be perfect. What better way to make it perfect then let lazeerer do some of his magic on it. For a very reasonable price lazeerer put in a very nice soft start x-boost and machined a big beautiful heat sink (10g) fitting perfectly into the build. He sent me this picture after he milled the heatsink for the x-boost.
The day before hurricane Sandy hit his house he managed to get it sent off back to Sweden. :beer: There is also a nice little copper heatsink on the boost IC chip to boot =) I got to admit I am impressed with his work and I take it he is not much of a coffee drinker! Here is a picture I took. You can see the heatsink behind the x-boost drive in this photo.
I just ordered a few new M140 from DTR. I did not really want to remove the ones in my other project I am working on.
update - diodes in.
Pressing in the M140 with Pyros kick ass press.
Inspecting that the diode is flush in the seat with a little Arctic Silver 5.
Soldering the leads from the X-Boost to the M140. Looking nice
