Great review. Now I'm even more pissed that I wasn't awake to sign for the one (50mW though) I was supposed to receive yesterday. :|

Is divergence that bad anyway? I've read some complains about it being unable to focus at infinity, which basically results in the same problem, but has a much less serious cause.
divergence is fine, seemed great to me. I still dont understand the focus to infinity thing, i mean doesn't it really just depend how far away the laser is from whatever you pointing at?

Focus at infinity means the beam is perfectly straight, so that when you shine your pointer at a distant object it isn't any larger or smaller than at a near object. The focus is at infinity because the beam never actually converges at a point. If it did, it would diverge at a distance beyond the focus. Likewise, if the point of focus is behind the source, it means the beam will be continuously divergent from the source.

i guess i couldnt really understand because when i had my working 300mW red laser it the dot would get bigger even after a foot or 2. it would then get bigger and bigger, and 11 feet was where i was able to light a match at, but it took a while. infact... i didnt know it even was possible to have the beam be focused everywhere lol. I thought it did start off small and make it's way bigger. How can a lens make the entire thing focused?

well in that case..no, it cannot focus to infinity, it's more of the focus where you turn it completely one direction and it's just a normal dot and normal beam, but when you turn it fully the other direction it's for up-close burning.

-In the best conditions, dot has 15mm in diameter at 10 meters distance. It is 1,5mRad.
-I have a true 30mW lasere from DX and I disassembled it and change plastic to glass lens. Now my 30mW has 0.5mRad.
-If I compare it in dark, 30mW(0.5mRad) laser is shining much far than 200mW(1.5mRad) laser. 200mW is better in burning but I dont want it. I want better afterglow.

You mean that when you actually try to get the smallest dot possible at 10m distance, it still is 15 mm wide? And that adjusting focus from that point either way makes it worse?

That would seem a little odd to me, even the simple plastic optics on an aixisz module do a way better job. It's comparing red diode to green crystal, but still.

Yes, at 10 m distance the smallest dot possible is 15 mm(for my laser). I have also 200mW red from DX that is many times better in focusing. With 200mW red I can light match at 3 m distance but wiht this 200mW green max 70 cm. Plastic lens isnt good.
I tried to disassemble focusing head to put glass lens but I can only separete head from body. I dont know how to disassemble focusing head.

try unscrewing the top part of the laser, once you do that you can adjust the lens inside to make it focus better

I maked great upgrade! It is big glass expanding lens and big glass colimating lens placet directly to focusing head. The issue is I can light match in 2,5 meters instead of 70 centimeters. The dot is 4-5mm in diameter at 10 meters distance. So that means, the focusing is three times better. See pictures.

awesome konvalinka! hey you could probably just remove the focusing head entirely and use your custom made one. could you make a video comparing burning with the default lens and with your custom lens added on?

what are you using to keep the button pushed?

I got mine today,it's works nice but it has a problem in the shutter,it won't close and open,it arrived closed and I had to push it with a stylus pen to be able to use the laser. :pDoes anyone knows how to make the shutter mecanism come out so I'm able to fix it?I don't want to wait a long time just because of a minor problem like this.

i noticed the shutter sometimes seemed a little hard to open and close, but it was never actually stuck for me. you tried both directions? you may have to use a little force, maybe wiggle it? pull it and turn? im not sure, but i dont see how something so small can get so easily stuck lol. then again..the button is mighty small, and it sure ruined my laser.
