Ah it arrived, always gotta praise TNT postage for their extremly fast shipping within the netherlands.
So this is my first review mh?
Well....where should i start...maby where it started for me. the laser was shipped 2 days ago.
It arrived at about 10:30 GMT+1 today in the mailbox, my brother brought it to my room(i was sleeping), and i thought it was a DealExtreme, PriceAngels or FocalPrice package, since i also expected some star cappies from over there.
But no, the adress by a computer, but it was hand written. So i awaked and checked the package more, and saw it came from Austria. YEAH!
So this must be a first con about doing business with DJNY. He packages his laser so damn well i couldnt open it by hand, i needed a sciccor and then took me about 20 second to open it. could be a pro as well DX, PA, FP and all those shops package it well, but not as secure as DJNY.
Ok, so the laser itself.
When you are finally able to open the package(i cant wait opening them):
You'l see this nice little cute box containing the laser. I dont have any use of it though.

After opening it, inserting the battery(not on the photo above) and powering it on, i was afraid i had received a bad laser. it only had like a estimated 5~10w dot. but after playing with it more and more, it became brighter, i'd say 20~25mw or so. I made this estimation to compare it with a 30mw laser(i am positive that one is true 30mw). but my room is about ~18 degrees Celcius. not cold not warm. The laser didnt go higher then 25mw though. i guess this can be achieved if you first use a hair dryer on it.
Secondly, the star cap, this is what i bought the laser for, after all
Putting the star cap on and off is like REAL simple. screw the star cap left puts it on, and you can keep turning it forever to have the nice kaleidoscopic effect.
Turning it right though, screws the star cap off again, so its real easy and nice designed
Not like my 30mw green laser with star cap from dealextreme thats also about desame price including shipping. you cant screw of the star cap on that crappy laser from them

Here are a few shots compared with the twice as big "30mw" laser from dealextreme. (the 30mw from DX is really about 15mw or so, and DJNY's laser is already at normal "warmed up" power.)

The shitty Dealextreme laser(not much difference with image below but i can see the difference with the eye):

And the laser from DJNY(not much difference with image above but i can see the difference with the eye):

And here a size comparision:

And another size comparision with my 280mw red laser from LikeitBright:

And here i will show the powering up of the laser without the star cap(compared with my romisen 30mw green). First when its not warm yet:

And now while its on normal power(compared with romisen 30mw green):

Build Quality:
Well, its a laser of 18 dollar shipped with priority mail and arrived within 2 days...so whatya want for the money. I cant judge yet, but as you can see my DX laser has already gone bad. This laser seems exactly desame quality, exacly the same paint on it and design and size. I think that paint will come off very fast to be honest. but again, i cannot judge on that yet.
Battery:
Well this came with a golden DX battery, but now i played with the laser some time, and gotta admit the crappy DX laser is now about double as strong as the star cap laser.
and since many guys say the golden battery is the best, i can't give this laser a high number for battery life. but hey its also half as big!
All on all its a recommended laser. Its small, has a belt clip, takes only 1x aaa battery, the seller is someone who replies fast to PM's, has a good designed star cap, and for only 18 dollars! The heating problem is probaly the biggest con on this laser, but after playing for ~20seconds it reaches its normal power. you gotta heat it alot or live in a warm country to have the peak power, i guess.
So whatya waiting for?
