Operation:

Very simple to use, connect to a wall plug, then apply 5V modulation. (I used an old USB wall-plug charger for the 5V modulation) Turn on the switch and your done.

This was the included operation manual:

Gave me a good laugh :D

Appearance:

This unit was a lot smaller than I expected (my first lab laser) and I am very pleased with how it looks :)
The beam and dot is a lot brighter than I could have imagined, my only other 532nm lasers being a 78mW and 50mW (and loads of those 5mW pens)
It is also fairly light at 780g.

And the laser with my scanners :)

Price:

250$ USD shipping included from Meierlight, he accepted my offer of 220$ (DHL got me for 10$ brokerage fee's at the door). Very good price for this unit :)

Other Thoughts:
  • The fan on the back is extremely noisy (nothing you can't drown out with loud music ;))
  • No key for the key switch included (wouldn't have used it anyways)

Service:

Fang, Meierlights sales man was very prompt with email responses and answered all my questions to the best of his ability, was very happy with the communication :D

Bottom Line:
Great unit, good price per mW.

Thanks for reading!

Edit: I finally got a LPM
AiaN3.png

Averages 355mW during 15 minute warm up, averages at 380mW after warm up.

Wow, I actually just bought the exact same laser, I love it except for the beam specs. They could be better. I paid $250 though :(

Yeah, the beam specs could be better, hopefully it will match that of my 445nm and the 640nm I plan to buy, so no fringing :)

EDIT: Did you LPM it? I don't have a meter yet, and i'm wondering what power yours is at.

Yeah, this projector is costing much more than I originally anticipated. The results so far have been worth it though.

Yeah, I looked at 635nm as an option, the beam specs scared me off though, I'm using the DT-30 galvos and it's great, no flickering at all. I would have gone for the DT-40W, but i'm trying to build this on a budget :p
