Hello All, This will be my review of a 50mW. Laser, manufactured by BlueSky Marketing. This review may hold special interest for andy_con, as I understand he is a good friend of Paul, the very helpful, kind, gentleman, out of BlueSky Lasers Corporate Offices.
One of the reasons that I chose BlueSky to order my laser from, was the fact that I could get one that had an adjustable beam, & their "STEALTH" all black, matte finish, broken only by a rich, gold band, that seperates the adjustable 'head' from the rest of the black, matte, finish of the rest of the laser. Also, beneath this 'gold' band is the requisite laser power warning sticker.
This laser is equipped with a push on/release off button, with a green light to let you know that the laser is functioning. IMO, I felt that this was an un-necessary feature, seeing as the light only functions when the laser is in operation. If this laser were equipped with a 'clicky' on/off switch, then the 'on' light would have more use, such as letting you know the laser was on, if you were to put an opaque dust cover on the end.
Now for the details, the "GOODIES" so to speak. This was supposed to be a 50mW Laser, at least that was the claim of BlueSky, Boy, was I in for a pleasant surprise !!! I own a VERY accurate LASERBEE I DELUXE, LPM, & for THREE consecutive tests, my meter started at 110mW's & then began a slow but steady slide down to 75mW's, where it stayed for the rest of the 60 second test. This happened THREE X in a row, with only TWO minutes for cool down between tests. I NEVER GOT A READING BELOW 75mW's DURING ANY OF MY TESTS. Quite good for a "50mW" Laser, don't you think ? I certainly do, & wouldn't hesitate to buy any other lasers from BlueSky.
This laser, as stated earlier has a Black Matte, "STEALTH" finish to it broken only by the items mentioned earlier. It has an overall length of 146.25mm's & a width of 13.14mm's.
I was kinda limited in the amount of space used for my other tests to a space of only 2 meters, but this laser is so well crafted, that the tests that I ran would most likely increase exponentially the greater the distance used in tests of greater length. The laser color is Green @532nm's.
The "HOT SPOT" that I measured at the 2 meter distance I used, was only .28mm's with the laser at FULL COLLIMATION. With the laser aperture fully uncollimated, the "HOT SPOT" I measured at 10.76mm's. Which tells me that the amount of collimation that is able to be achieved by the adjustable 'HEAD' is considerable.
All in all, I found this laser to exceed ALL of MY expectations, & the mW. out-put of a consistant average of 75mW's compared to the advertised 50mW's, is enough to make anyone who purchases a laser from BlueSky, a happy customer indeed.
I'd like to thank Paul of BlueSky for treating me so kind, & with the type of professionalism that I'm sure will make BlueSky Lasers a force to be reckoned with in the current laser market.
Have a good day & thank you for taking the time to read my review. rob
PS. When this review was typed, all the paragraphs were indented as they should be, but when I posted this review, all of my paragraph indentations disappeared, so IDK WHAT happened.

My camera didn't pick any up so if there IS any, it's not much & very well collimated.

Hey rob, that's NOT the laser that was reviewed. The one you pointed out is a 100mW NON-ADJUSTABLE laser. The one I reviewed is matte black with a gold band around it where the ADJUSTABLE head is & it's only 50mW's..................rob

Nice review, Rob!

John, all 5mW+ Bluesky "Stealth" models come with IR filters :D Rob, remove the batteries, shine a powerful LED flashlight through the battery-end and look closely at the front end. If done right, you will see the IR filter (blue square).

Btw, Bluesky = Megagreen and your 50mW focusable stealth is the same one I have & loooove!

Congratulations on your purchase, Rob - keep this one in a safe place (and do observe the duty cycle!!!), 'cause it's a keeper!

EDIT: Glenn, it's 13.5 x 151mm.
