Your laser is 11% overspec... that's good.

Not every laser can be overspec, but it seems like lazerer is doing a very good job in making sure all his lasers are on spec or overspec.

This is Max from LAZERER. Sometime is it hard for us to satisfy all customer. I understand customer always expect more on their purchase. I know because I have ever been a customer too. That's why we clearly list the power range of our RIFLE (950mW~1100mW) and we usually send a laser with power higher then the minimun power guarantee. Since I don't want to let our customer down. Even I send you a 1200mW+ laser today and you happy with it. Will you disappointed just because you saw another review on 1.3W RIFLE? So please don't be sad. Your laser is good unit. You won't be able to tell the different on 1.1W and 1.2W unless on the meter. They burn and shine almost the same.

For the moment there isn't even a v2... although it's on the way;)

V1 was with an 18650 battery?
V2 was with two 16340's?
V3 is with two 16340's black push button, glass lens, rifle logo on the host and garuanteed 1200mW power ;) Will come out on there webshop next week or so!

Unless you reduce the advertised power. But not many companies do that :p

Pretty much all DL units seem to be overspec.

That may or may not be the case, but DL also did some very lousy customer service not that long ago, and charges and arm and a leg for shipping.

Regardless, the laser in question here is well overspec.

Yep, thats the most important thing in a company. Max is a great guy, and most of us love great customer service. For example I ordered a 1w cyber a while ago and they where out of stock so he said he is sending me the 1.2w version ( says it is guaranteed overspec) for no extra charge. And he answered hundreds of my questions.

Personally, I have no intention of buying from Dragon Lasers - at least not for a long time. They charge way too much for their low-power lasers and I don't approve of their marketting techniques. They're one of the companies which, like Wicked, seem to advertise their lasers as being better than those of any other company. Their presence on YouTube annoys me more than their website. I keep pointing out flaws in things the "dragonlasersfanman" says and he keeps giving less-than-satisfactory responses but because he's a bigger entity on YouTube than me people listen to him. Also, he's not actually a "fan man" but a representative of the company who collects other people's videos.
