Can't wait for pics:D

This host... polished to a shine... would be amazing.

Even lazeerer wasn't willing to take on that project though... and he's really into polishing.

Well see the end results :D but before i start.. You have a riffle too right? Do you think the black coating is annodized or powdercoated?

Greetings,,

Dont get any of this :p but,

I checked for the polishing of this host. My friends sandblaster is not working anymore :cryyy: So i bought a jar of paint stripper in the hope the coating would go off and it did not :p

So now i need to get me a STRONGER paint stripper :san:

Any suggestions and pricing?

Greetings,,

Note: I don't know too much about this and you'll have to do research yourself before trying it straight off-the-bat.

Someone used Sodium Hydroxide based drain cleaner to remove the blue coating from one of the Hotlights hosts. I don't know how applicable that would be to this though.

Well, I did do some research on the internet. And i went too the local paint store to get me some paint remover the owner said it would easily remove powdercoat.. Well NOT :undecided: On the internet is see people using graffiti remover?

Well I will look into it a bit better

I added the top part because Sodium Hydroxide is potentially very, very nasty and I didn't want to give you some wrong advice and wind up turning your fingers into soap or make you inahale something horrible. Might want to search for the thread where it was done before and ask whoever it was that did it. Whatever... I'll leave the course of action to you - just don't go buying Sodium Hydroxide until you have gloves, an appropriately ventilated place and have done a LOT of research.

Guys i have a question, this particular laser seem alot less powerfull the last time i used it? I had a hard time burning matches. tried two fresh 18650's to supply power. Had the same result as the original batteries fully charged?

What could the problem be? The diode is still good i guess? Maybe due to bad soldering or bad wiring?

I have never touched the driver..

greetings,,

EDIT:

Max offered me to return it so we could provide a solution for the problem, GREAT service!

Hi there, this laser should be powered by 2 X 16340 batteries, if you use 18650 you should get only about half or less of the rated power.

I know thats why I linked it to 2x 18650 i thought the problem maybe could have something to do with the high drain from the 16340's

And I know how to properly focus a laser to it's burning point ;) I allready put an AR coated glass lens in for better performance :yh:\

But it does not mather anymore! I will sort this out with Max

Thank you for trying to help!
