1W 650nm C-Mount Laser
The laser is amazing i could even more focus it in or out to make the square bigger just the top ring got tight tiny bit :na:

Interesting. I've seen these C mount diodes in powers up to 5 watts for sale for a number of years now. It looks like whoever built this one did a nice job making it safe and getting the divergence down quite a lot. Thank you for showing it.

Okay, so would this laser hav FAC on it?

Also, if a c-mount has FAC does it need additional focusing? Or would it be okay without?

It would need additional optics, a FAC lens only focuses one axis, the fast axis. FAC stands for "Fast Axis Collimating".

That unit is BOB Laser Co LTD - Model: BOB Laser BRP-0018 (650nm, 1000mW, 1x26650)

I've been hunting BOB BRP-models for reasonable price but I haven't found any reasonable except that Pman sold. I'm Pissed off a bit for that I didnt notice that Pman update sooner.. :banghead:

I've found this Ukrainian reseller but don't know are they legit

Couldn't help but notice this laser has been discontinued. At least at BOB laser. It is getting more difficult to find these 650nm C mount diodes anymore.

That web site shows the wavelength to be 650nm, if so, a 700mw 638nm laser diode isn't very expensive and ~25% brighter to the eye than a 650nm 1 watt laser. Is your pointer 650nm or 638? Regardless, I like that host, and for what you paid, great deal, I would buy it for that in a heart beat.

It could be correct its a BRP-0018 i believe its 650nm but hard to tell ( unless the made other versions ) since the laser shows up more yellow its like yellow red when i focus it and make the dot it shows up as 80%yellow and 20%red and when i focus it as big square its 99%red and 1%yellow let me check again,
as for the FAC lens i have no idea i try looking i only see a lens and the C laser inside, its very easy changing the C-mount the is only 1 wire like a connection to pull out pull in,
as for the driver i checked the was a tiny writing on the driver some strange number ****-4.71A i believe its max 4A don't take my word, its got a pot no idea what the drier is set i will try to take some pics its hard my phone cant light up the image and its bury i will try to take some :can:
as for the laser its very heavy up front inside its a huge heatsink

Oh, that driver, they are known to fail a lot, better sell that host to me now :)

I think the intensity of the red is over saturating your green color cones to appear that way, another reason to sell it to me for 150.00

ok did a test i let the pro's make the decision what nm this laser is :)
