Ok so this is the review for the 150 mW blu ray pen O-like sells. Link is here http://o-like.com/b2b_cpinfo.asp?id=1067
Im not the reviewer type, but I'll try :)

Shipping
Ordered October 13th, Arrived October 19th. Very fast shipping I am verry happy :D

Packaging
The laser just came in a small padded envelop wrapped really well. Standard stuff.

Looks
The laser looks well made. The threading on the end where you uncap it to put batteries in is kind of hard and gets stuck halfway sometimes. The threading on the focusing lens is pretty good though. The laser host looks shinier than the picture on the site. It is nice and small, it is also kind of heavy so that makes it feel better and not cheap.

Performance
Performance is good. It lights matches, burns plastic, and pretty much smokes everything I point it at. It gets warm rather fast, but thats ok since I don't leave it on for too long. I dont have a powermeter so I have no way of measuring power output. If I had to guess I would say somewhere around 150mW. It gives me a headache when I use it too much :(.
Please note that I didnt have any fresh batteries so I used a pair I had laying around.

Overall I would have to say that its a good price for a blu ray pen for those of us with no patience or skill to DIY. Its well made and performs good.

Pictures! My sisters camera can take way better pictures, but unfortunately I am Camera retarded, but I tried my best. Ill post some beamshots later.

Glad I didn't order one, sounds like the heat sink isn't a great one, since it tends to get warm after not too long. Not a bad price but I would expect it to run longer for more fun/use.

That sucks about your tail cap threading. The other con I noticed is it uses 2 AAA, which will tend to kill money. I was hoping they would use a rechargeable battery of some kind, so I'm not spending $5.00 on a pack of aaa all the time.

You can't go wrong on the price for a blu-ray, but I'm glad Iam holding my money for the 150mw waterproof blu-ray. Great review and thanks for taking the time for reviewing the product.

5 stars for your review.

Well it just gets warm but it takes awhile to get hot, but I agree that the heatsink in there probably isnt the greatest. For the AAA problem, I would just get a couple of eneloop rechargeables and you should be set.

From what I've read around the forums any pen style laser is just not big enough to have a lot of heatsink and should be kept to a duty cycle of say 60sec on 30 off just to not overheat it.

It looks to be very bright I look forward to the beam shots at night.

Glad your enjoying your new laser.

can you check divergence (mrad) and beam diameter at aperture? i have the previour 80mw bluray pen from susie... it has an awesome divergence... less than 0.3 0.2mrad... and has negative divergence for initial 3 meter.. but it does NOT burn. at that distance is difficult to have a steady hand. my beam diameter is 4 mm.

i have this laser i think i will review it to soon :D
yeah shame about the heatsink, i only use a laser pointer for about 10 second periods anyway so it's not really a problem for me.

Wow, looks nice.

Does the host seam to be "solid" aluminum or a sheet-metal, hard to tell with the knurling on the back.

If I had to take a guess, I would say the host is made out of sheet metal.

I know greenies show up brighter to the eye than the bluies but does this produce a bright beam on a moonless night? I just had to sell my Opto 100mW to pay off some bills and I just got the darn thing but it looks like I have another $150 or so to buy another. I love the beam intensity of the Opto 100mW and prefer that over burning capabilities. But, blu is such a cool color so I wanted to know if this will come close as far as night lasing goes.

uhm I kinda lost it... :( but when I had it, the beam was pretty cool looking at night. The beam was nowhere near comparable to my 50mw green. It just looks cool. The beam gets really blurry when it goes far.
