Seeing the cross pattern will depend on the distance that you have your 3 element lenses focused, also you will need to be wearing your laser safety glasses to see the true focus at full power, you should wear them anytime when viewing the spot except at longer distances.

Here's a video I made trying to demonstrate that.
This is a NUBM44 with a 3 element and a 3.3X sanwu expander.

I was talking about when you align the two beams you use the pot to lower the out to below 50mw which makes it real easy to make the two lines into a cross.( like the pictures show) And yes when your using it to burn or in the house and not shining it up in the sky you need to use your glasses, than you can quite easy see the cross pattern at full power. But when you shine in up at the moon you can not see the cross pattern. Have not tried to use my safety glassses out side when I'm shining it up at the clouds.

You likely have your 3 elements focused at short distance, if you focused them at infinity you should see the + in the sky and on distant tree lines.

Yes, as stated in my review it has 3 element lens in it. There is no difference between 50 foot inside and 50 foot outside so yes you can see the cross outside ( only with safety glasses on at full power because it's to bright ) but I'm sure you know this. So thanks for the interest. And Rick did some real nice work, I've bought 8 lasers off him and am real happy with his work!

Thanks Pete, I bought this one, and duel 520 she's got a super beam also, it putting about about 2.8 watts. He's working on another duel for me, a green and a red hopefully get maybe one watt of yellow. Should be awesome when he's finished. I'll post some beam picture when I get it.

pretty cool that it has dual beams. and :wave:just to be a grammar nazi, duel is used when referring to fighting with someone, like a pistol duel, or boxing duel, ect. dual is used when referring to having 2 of the same thing, like in a video game, I dual wield 1h swords, knives ect. :san:
