The EzFocus adapter won't reach it? Is the face of the module flush with the face of the heatsink?

The lens will be sticking out of the module. And that means that the only way the EzFocus adapter could not reach it, is if the module was not flush with the heatsink face...

Never had a problem using the focus adapter even on builds when I was still pressing the diode flush. Of course now I use the pryo tool to countersink which makes it even quicker to focus.;)

You could try taking the heatsink out and unscrewing the set screw and pull the module out to at least flush with the heatsink like Jay is suggesting. You may be bottoming out on the heatsink when you could go further if the module was out a little farther.

I bet he has the module set back where the lip is inside the heatsink like Jayrob said. On mine at least, the module sits back in the heatsink and you have to use the set-screw with it up flush with the front of the heatsink.

By the way Jay, I put it together Saturday and I LOVE it! Thanks again!

On my first 18650 ss build, assembled the host before I got anything in it and I put the heatsink in backwards, then I looked at it and I said, Nope, Thats not right. Lol

Just finished building my SS 18650 and love it. Nice looking host, relatively small. I have it set at roughly 1w and I can feel the heatsink start to heat up after using it for about 60 seconds or so. Not terribly hot, but starts to get a little warm.

Overall I'd say it's a great kit.

Screwing in the Heatink and Pill really isn't that difficult, I simply place both inside the head, then my thumb goes in one end and my finger in the other to prevent them from spinning while I screw them into the head. I've taken it apart and put it back together several times now without any problems with the pill/heatsink.
