1.2W 445nm

Shipping
10/10

I purchased it Friday night and he shipped it Saturday morning the only issue (out of his control) was that it was stuck in ISC New York for 6 days probably due to 4th of July which made me nervous but it is not nearly as long as some people wait.

Cost
10/10
It was a steal at $120 (of course +$20 shipping and +$15 for batts but still a great deal) compared to my previous 445nm from lazerer that was $140 and it was 200mW+ less powerful than this one and much lower quality.

Laser
9.5/10

The laser is great and surpasses all expectations it is a bit smaller than I thought it was going to be at 5 1/2" but that's ok I got used to it and I think it actually makes it better. The heatsinking is pretty good (however when I am holding it measurments are usually 1/2 of norm due to hand being 95 degrees lol) here are my measurments (using a heat sensing laser)

off: 88 degrees F (its hot today so that doesn't help either)
On for 1min: 98 degrees F
Max (I have recorded it at) : 101 degrees F (I was taking pictures and using a 10 second timer and taking multiple shots I didn't really have a choice)

It distributes the heat throughout the laser so the diode is probably not in much danger but I try not to get it above 95 degrees.

(I'm not going to put a section on brightness or burning power because most likely it will be the same as any other 1.2W 445nm the host or build quality doesn't really effect it so it would just be repetitive)

Info on the laser
Output: 1.2W+
Wavelength: 445nm
Class: IV
Diode: A140 (direct-press)
Heatsink material: Aluminium
Lens: 445nm 3-element glass
Driver: Buck driver set at 1500mA
Host: WF-501B
Batteries: 2x18350

Overall
9/10

Would be 10 but the charger he sent with it is not compatible for US outlets I'm sure Blord did not think about that and frankly I don't think I would have either or all he had were that kind and had no choice idk. Luckily I have a couple 16340 chargers that the batteries fit in.
(if anyone wants the charger you can have it just cover the cost of shipping it is similar to the lazerer charger with a few small differences)

Funny stories involving the laser

So I go out into my back yard to fire up the laser for my first time in the dark and outside so I do and I'm marveling how it lights up the tops of trees then I hear 2 of my neighbors come outside and this is what I heard
Absolutely true |
_____________V
Guy1: WTF is that !!!
Guy2: What?
Guy1: That light!
Guy2: Is that a lightsaber !?
*I then turned it off and went inside because it was getting a little warm

I then went outside again and shined it at the trees and marveled how it lit them up and then I hear a different guy (the house behind my house so I am shining it over his roof

Guy: AWESOME!
(scares me a bit so I turn it off)
Guy: DO IT AGAIN
I turn it back on
Guy: That is fucking awesome
(me inside )

best moments ever lets just hope nobody mistakes a blue laser for something on a sniper or something and calls the cops

also when focusing it I burnt my thumb a bit like a noob

Pictures

This picture was taken with the flash on

This picture is the same as above but with flash off
(No the beam does not look like that it's just how the camera picked it up)

This is the best beamshot I could get

Just an interesting picture

Shows a nice (kinda blurry) beam and the host

Of course no review is complete without LPM measurment but I don't have one so here is one from the sales thread

None of the pictures were taken with fog
Here is the sales thread
Thanks Blord :D

Thanks for the review. I didn't know you got the EU version of the charger. Normally I checked every item again before I packed and shipped it. I hope you got a work around for the charger. You can buy $1 plug converter for the charger so that it can stick in the grind.
Make sure that the charger can handle 120V/60Hz. I don't have any chargers left so I can't check it for you.

Nah it's ok the charger I have is for 16340/18350 (says on the back) it can also charge 2 batteries at a time. Even if the charger you sent would work for me I would probably use this one anyway :na:

Nice review the host looks good. Any comments on how small you can focus the laser? with a 200mw red in a axiz you can focus it to about ~200 microns from awesome burning :) Also what would you average the Mrad at at infinity focus?

Great review and laser! Read the part to my wife about the neighbors, we both got a good laugh. Thanks!
