If I wanted to test a 1W 445nm diode with the output from a Cree Q5 LED driver, am I likely to do damage to the diode?
The driver claims to provide a regulated 1000ma of current when powered by a single CR123.
I'm just hoping to briefly verify the functionality of the diode, and I may not receive the microboost I've ordered for some time.
Is this a dangerous move?
