why is my 50 mw laser a blob?

i got my 50 mw laser about two weeks ago and when i put the focusing lens on there is a ring around the dot,and when i take the focusing lens off there is just one big blob.

I bought it at a website called o-like.com and the laser is called a Power Rock Green laser Torch 50mW /Focusable&Waterproof

It would help to have a lot more information.

Where did you buy the laser?
What color is it?
Can we see a picture of the output?
Did you try cleaning the lens?

Every bit of information will help your chances of someone knowing what is wrong.
