That video looks like an alignment or heat issue..

Run the laser through any lens, make the dot big..

You will see what I mean..

If it were the pump diode, it wouldnt be 'dancing' like it is..

I´ll do it tomorrow, it is 2.16pm here, time to go to bed and hopefully dreaming about a fully functional RPL-425.

Any news about the laser? Could you figure out, if it's the diode or an crystal alignment problem? Do you have an answer/offer from Jack?
Hope you can reanimate the RPL.

Truly sorry for you mate! I had something similar with my RPL 400. The output dropped to around a 100mw if I remember well. Jack offered a few solutions and since mine was still in the warranty period I got an upgrade from him an RPL 425 for little extra working fine since than!
Cross fingers for you to get the best possible solution!

I was just ready to package and add some other stuff for member donprado who was ready to buy the laser from me.

I started a few testruns on my LPM and suddenly I saw a drop in output from ~400mW to ~190mW to 25-55mW, average 30mW!!! :wtf:
I thought that it was caused by the batterie, so I inserted two other 18650 batts.. but after a short start at ~50mW, the power continously drop to ~30mW, no output above 55mW any longer :(
I tried the adjustable tailcap, but with no success.

Hope it is only a small problem and I´m doing something wrong!

Thank you!!!

Thank you guys!

A forum member is currently checking it out, maybe it is only a little problem.

Jack was/is very helpful in this situation and already offered me a repair including explaining lot of details about the process.
