Press in heastsink specs?

So I'm building a 445nm laser, and what I have now is a diode pressed into an AixiZ housing and then that goes in an aluminum heatsink and held together by a set screw... which is lame. I have a nice section of 1 1/8 inch copper rod here and I'd like to machine it so the laser diode presses directly into the copper sink instead of AixiZ part. So basically I'm looking for the specs of the hole for the diode to be pressed into. Also, what is the thread size for an AixiZ lense? I think I read somewhere that it was like M9x.5?

I'd just measure the AixiZ after I take it apart, but it hasn't arrived yet and I'd like to get started on machining the copper. Sorry if this a common question, but I searched around an all I really found were sink dimensions for the AixiZ housing to press into.

You can also measure the LD for the dimensions...

I'm sure someone will respond with numbers.

I usually make the press fit hole 5.55mm, it's tight enough to hold the diode securely yet not too tight that it destroys the diode if you have to press it out.

The lens thread is M9x.5 and the thread on the back of an aixiz module is M11x.5.

Hope that helps!
