possible problem from dropping laser

hello,
i am new to the whole laser scene and just built my first laser. It seemed to be working perfect until it was dropped. Now it only stays on for 30 seconds - 1 minute at a time. what could be the problem? is it possibly just a driver issue that now occurred? or is it a diode issue? The beam seems to look and respond the exact same as before the drop. The laser just shuts off after a short time. I can turn it back on but then it will shut off again after a short time. what other issues could come around by dropping a laser? thank you for any help.

link to the laser? No two lasers are the same (generally speaking). im assuming its a cheap 532nm Chinese laser and if so 95% just buy a new one.

Was the driver heatsinked? Possible thermal shutdown if the driver was knocked loose

everything is heatsinked. i had purchased a maglite kit from jayrob on this site. when i placed the driver inside the heatsink i used arctic silver thermal paste to helped with heat transfer also. The heatsink does not feel warm every time it shuts offs either. thank you for your time and help

You might have killed a $300+ laser  Do you have a PSU you could hook the diode to? If not swap the driver first and if that results in same problem.......its the diode

wouldn't be so bad if i stuck with only one hobby hahaha. i vary hobbies every few months. This one came about with my love for lasers and physics of optics. Just finished a college course in this field and wanted to learn more.
