Hey, I'm planning on buying this.
Silver chrome green laser 50mW/good finish [OLSGL50] - $29.00 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products
What are your recommendations on buying this without getting it confiscated. Which shipping options and what techniques?
flat rate, per item or table rate. Also anyone know any of the discount codes?
btw, I live in California, United States.
My recommendations is to get the batteries shipped separate and ask susie if she can change the warning label to claim that it is only >1mW. It's a sure fire way to get past customs. My 200mW red laser says >1mW on the warning label

I know this post is now a couple weeks old, but does anyone have updates on how long their stuff took to get to them? I ordered the 100mw 532nm Gatlin, batteries and charger in one package... USPS and Hong Kong Post say:
Service(s): Registered Mail™
Status: Foreign Acceptance

Your item was accepted in HONG KONG on May 22, 2010 at 5:08 PM. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.

It's said that for 5 days now.... wth. I'm gathering this is normal, but does anyone know how long it might take? Any information would be great.... started to get irritated....

Very quick (less than 3 hours) response from o-like:
Dear Justin,
The Hngkong post is usually 4-5 days processing time ,so your status is no update ,sometimes it needs longer time to process, kindly wait 1-2 days to see how it happen
thanks,
Vivien

I just want to make sure nothing happened to it

Finally an update- while USPS tracking still states the same thing, Hong Kong Post now says:
The item (RT*********HK) is being processed for departure from Hong Kong as of 27-May-2010.

Can I just say how much I hate USPS? They "attempted delivery" today.... yea right, we were home. No one tried. So now I can pick it up at the post office.. tomorrow...

the tracking info does not update all the way until it reaches your house. so dont panic. and so far, i have not heard of anybody having problems ordering flat-rate.
