What's a static board?

Some pictures of the laser would help.

Did you assemble it yourself, or bought premade?

If former, pictures of your setup would be nice.

Too few information to help you out :/

Yeah pictures would help us help you. Double check your soldering on the driver for a short or bad connection, one of the most common causes in your scenario is not having your -Vin on the driver grounded to the host but I wouldn't recommend testing this unless you know what you're doing not to cause a short - and after you show us some pics

Driver short sounds most likely. Check to see if your batteries get hot, shouldn't take more than ten seconds. A solder blob on the positive contact touching the host has created similar symptoms in a couple of 445 builds I've done with driver/pill contacts. Pics always help :)

As mentioned do three things.

1. Take pics

2. Make sure driver soldered correctly, its very small and very easy to make a short accidentally.

3. Contact Garry.
