Default New here, best place to get modules?

I've found several links on this website with great material, only I can't seem to find a vendor who sells modules that already have the diodes and heat sinks set up.. I prefer something with a low mW for my first build, preferably in the 20 mW range and with a wavelength of 405 nm.

Maybe this site has what you're looking for: www.aixiz.net they also sell on Amazon and eBay. For higher power modules buy from here: https://sites.google.com/site/dtrlpf/ DTR also sells some things on Amazon and eBay.

Does this link have the laser diode and lens? or is this just the module? That's what has me confused.

Yes they have complete modules with the diode and lens, or just the modules and diodes and lenses separately.

DTR has exactly what you need assembled and ready to go into a host. You can ask him to set the driver on a 405nm low to get you around 20mW. You can then learn to adjust drivers so if you every wanted more power you can do it yourself. It's not hard and part of the fun of builds.

At 405nm, 20mw is extremely low power, although still dangerous to the eyes, maybe more so because the sensitivity of our eyes are so low at that end of the spectrum to make 20mw of 405nm appear to be very dim when it can still burn your eyes. To compare, 20 mw of 405nm violet-blue has about the same perceived brightness to our eyes as one third of a milliwatt (.32 mw) of 532nm green. 1 milliwatt of 532nm green would be three times brighter!
