Need help putting a laser together!

I have a 405nm 100mw from DX (nobody needs to tell me that it won't be 100mw because I know this) but it came with a spring. I am not really sure if i could just attach 3v power source to wires and then wrap them around the spring. I don't have a soldering gun, so i'm trying to do this without it. Any help would be appreciated:undecided:. I attempted to put this in another of DX's cases, but ended up with a bent up, scratched up broken 5mw 405nm laser.
