Basically what i want to do is shoot an ir laser to a receiver and have
the receiver recognize the hit. This would be exactly like a old school shooting
gallery where you shot the gun and the receiver recognizes its been hit and does said action.
The receiver needs a narrow field of view as not to recognize near misses.
what type of lasers would i need ? the smaller the better especially for the receiving end.
final project goals: shoot a laser pointer, have targeted object/receiver acknowledge hit,
have object react to being hit such as fall due to spring arm that flips object/receiver over
(the last part in regards to falling is obviously a engineering design that i will sort out my self as this forum may not be the right audience).
also the distance that i need accuracy is relatively short say 5 ft to 30 ft. for demonstration in a large room.
any help is appreciated in regard to laser specs receiving/emitting and where to buy equipment.
