Hi, long time reader newly registered to ask experienced advice....

since i only own a few <5mw basic lasers its hard to make a first step with this overload of information here. so i know what i need isnt very hard to find, but hard to figure out whats on paper to whats in the physical world.

what i need is:

  • a rifle(ar15) mounted laser(or 1in diam / 30mm diam equivalent tube)
  • rechargeable system
  • preferably green, would settle for blue
  • overall quality vs cost to achieve visibility in OVERCAST / possibly daylight. the stream, not dot.
  • not to worried about cost if it does the job, as long as its not like my mortgage or anything

anyone know exactly a model that fits these requirements?
or an exactly make/model?

great forum, great work, great people. thanks for being here!

where do you live, in the US(personal exp) anything over 5mw as a gun sight is a no go, that bieng said a 5mw green is the brightest option that is legal in the US as far as I know.

"Class IIIb aiming devices cannot be legally sold in the U.S. without a variance from the applicable requirements of 21 CFR1040.10 and 1040.11 having been issued by the Center for Devices and Radiological Health for such devices. It is our policy to restrict the sale of Class IIIb aiming devices only to the military, government and law enforcement agencies by purchase order for the procuring company." from a letter from the FDA

as far as making it yourself IDK.
