Is my SF-AW210 dead?

ok, so today I was going to try and build a bluray, I have all the parts needed, the heatsink, driver (ghostdrive2) and the SF-AW210 which i got from scpoeguy/glenn. i soldered everything up, and the setup was working, although the laser dot looked a bit wierd, but it worked never the less.

After trying to cram it into my tiny host and failing, i got 2 16340 batteries, taped them together, and taped 2 wires to either end. then i touched the wires to the corresponding wires attached to the driver . It was working a little, but not at full power, then at one point it went led , bear in mind this did not happen at the same time, i was constantly moving/disconnecting the wires etc.

Now however, it has stopped working completly, the diode does not light up in any way, not even led. i desoldered and soldered the diode to a 104mA ghostdrive2 (the original is 238mA) but it is still not working.

Have I killed it? or is the driver fried. I cant check it with my multimeter as i recently managed to set that on fire while testing my homemade taser out.

Any ideas?

Do you have a testload ? You need that to test the driver.
If the driver is ok then the diode is fried. Nothing else we can do on distance.

To test a diode you will need a bench PSU.

ok so i dont have a test load or a bench thing, i wouldnt mind making a test load with those silicone diodes but i wouldnt be prepared to buy a bench load.
can any one send me a link to that website that shows how to make a test load?
