Re: Module fomr NewWish Pointer in other Host?

In my experience, Newwish modules are a fraction of a millimeter too big to fit into the LeadLight pen hosts. This is usually because the sections of the module do not thread together perfectly flush. Some sand paper usually fixes that for me.
You will also need to consider the length of the module and whether or not the switch will line up with the button hole on the host.
Since the 450nm module is a diode laser, I am going to assume you can remove some parts of the module that contain no optics so the module can be shorter.
It's difficult to explain without pictures, but if the 450nm pen is built the same way the 405nm pens are, doing this should be an easy task.

Why not just get the diode, one of O-like's blu-ray drivers and a 3.8mm diode module from RHD then put it together? 3 solder connections and a dab of thermal adhesive later you will have a working 450nm pen.

Yeah it is possible. Is it worth the effort? No, not really. NewWish pen hosts are a nightmare to work with without a lens spanner wrench and a lot of patience.

parts from 3 different places, all to Germany, high shipping and overall cost :-/
so i tought that way would maybe simpler...

nope it would end n fail==get a 'add diode' kit from mohenberg and a diode from dtr.
ez cheezy.way cheaper and quick assembly.
