Well, I'm in a machining class, in which we get graded on certain projects we make. I was out of idea's until I was looking at some DIY things on google and youtube. One thing that I thought might be a good idea, was a laser pointer. The teacher has seen kids make flashlights, and seeing as many laser DIY use those type of cases, I figure this might be a good idea.

Anyways, a flashlight case is for a flash light, and I was wondering if I might be able to make a casing that was more suited to a laser. I'm also gonna end up with a bunch of more questions, seeing as all I've really done is take laser apart and play around with them, never actually build one.
Another thing is that how I make the case is probably gonna be different depending on what all I'm using to make the actual laser, so I'd like to know what might be good to use.
I'm gonna look in the forums some more, since there are plenty guides, but I would like some opinions.

I've actually taken all the work out of this for you. In my sigline you will see a Group buy for custom laser barrels. Take a read through the thread and check it out. You will like what you see.

If I were to ever make another laser, I would just buy they barrel, but I need a project to work on in my class. I wouldn't go through the work to make this unless I had to. XD
Some things are easier to just buy...
