So I have been planning on getting my own lathe to start making my own hosts. Which lathe do you guys suggest to use as best for my money and will do the job well. The one im currently thinking is MicroLux 7x16 Mini Lathe

A South Bend is the one I would get they have the best rep and the tightest tollerances
for a small lathe if I could do it all over again that would be my pick a South Bend :)

Thanks but I couldn't find a small one sold by them, but I'll keep looking. Just to let you know everyone here on the forum greatly appreciates what you do. :thanks:

I've read some complaints about Microlux's version of the Seig SC2 (the one you linked to). Take what you want from it. I can't comment myself.

@bhwollen, if you want a south bend, try craigslist or fleebay for a used one. ;)
