They're all probably okay hosts, but what makes one "good" is if there are custom heatsinks fitted for them so they conduct heat better. So unless you're going to mill yourself a heatsink for that, you might want to look around at the other flashlight builds available.

Yeah, it looks alright, the 18650 battery would work well with a flexdrive; you would just need to find someone that can make a suitable heatsink for it.

yeah, i was looking into it becaus it was the cheapest host i could find that would work for a rkcstr driver, with two cr123a batteries. I wonder how much it would cost to get jayrob or someone to make a heatsink for it?

Its heavy for its size with the sink and battery, but had really good thermal conductivity. Plus you can either use 1 Hi-Power Sanyo 18650 cell, or 2 CR123s. I'd recommend it. The only reason I sold mine was I needed the money, and I didnt really need another PHR.

I would charge $23 dollars for the heatsink, but I would need the host to get the heatsink design.

You can telll by the pictures on DX that it will be a good light to mod, because of how the head comes apart and stuff...

I've got a similar kit shown here:
