So, I just bought a 500mW, 535nm(Green) laser, and I just got it 2 hours ago, I used it for about 1 min., and it stopped working, now, it didn't completely die out, as there is still that red rendering light inside the laser, did i just use it too much, or did something burn out, I bought it from Lazerpoint.com, Thanks.

The first mistake you made was buying from lazerpoint. How did you know there was red light coming out of the laser? Did you put your eye up to the aperture? If so NEVER do it again! If you did do this, you may have damaged your eye(s). If you could show a picture of the laser that might help identify what COULD be wrong with it

Please do not look at the red light inside the laser. That is infrared light, it is likely quite powerful, and you probably already have eye damage if you've been looking at it.

As for the laser not working, it could be that the crystals are misaligned, or your batteries are not charged. It might be too hot, or too cold, or the crystals might have been damaged by an over-powered pump diode and/or too long of a run time.

You can't link a file on your computer, or any component in your computer.

You need to upload the image to the forum, or another image hosting site...

To upload to the forum, when you're writing a reply click "Go Advanced", which will give a new page with more options.

On the top row, next to the smiley face is a paperclip.

Click that, and then you can attach an image.

--Note image must be 800x600 or smaller
--Note image filesize must be less than 781.3 kB
