Help with my first build/rebuild

About a year ago when i first joined this forum I bought a 150mw red dorcy jr from Kenom, was a very nicely built laser and lasted me about 5 months, one day i turned it on and all i got was a red laser like the ones you can get at the market for £1  :'(
(I assume the LD died)

I took it apart to see if there was anything obvious and being a noob got confused and left it sitting in a drawer for a while thinking it was dead.

I'm now interested in bringing it back to life  :)

Could i easily make it into a BR, or would it have to be another red?

Here are some pics of what I have at the moment:

So...
What do I have?
What needs replacing?
What is rubbish?
How do I go about all this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Rich  :)

If you want to make it a blu-ray you would need to replace the existing LED Driver with a FlexDrive driver and 803T Diode.

If you still want RED all you need is replace the SenKat Diode with a Open Can LD and use the existing LED Driver. The LED Driver was too powerful for the SenKat Diode that was why it didn't last.

You can use FlexDrive for both blu-ray and RED, FlexDrive allows you to use either Primary 3.0v or Rechargeable 3.7v CR123 battery.

Good Luck

Also, located inside the end with the thread of the battery half is the original boost driver.. you need to kill it, creating a simple connection to the battery positive, before intalling the flexdrive. If you leave the original boost driver, you'll get unstable output.

Apologies for the double post

How much would it cost to get the parts to rebuild this into a red and how much would it cost to build this into a bluray?

I'm thinking if its reasonably cheap I might ask to see if anybody would rebuild it for me if i shipped it to them, i'd pay of course.
