Help me with the laser diode module

hi guys, i just bought the laser diode module..here information

Output Power: 50mW
Wavelength: 405nm
Working current: <280mA @ 2.9 ~ 3V input
Working temperature: +20°C ~ +35°C
Laser colour: violet blue
Material: glass optics and metal casing

when i plug the laser into battery, and its not bright as it is... i have used 2 AA battery....any helpp?????

are you saying it isn't as bright as it used to be? Try fresh batteries

50mW of 405nm isnt really bright...

Hey dude, I have the 100mw version of that laser diode. Same volts/mA as listed on ebay. Mine came with a battery pack though with on/off switch which holds 3 x AA battery's. This might explain why yours is getting a week signal. Try adding 1 more AA battery to your cell?
