Help in identify harvested diodes

So I just meticulously and carefully took apart my first DVD drive. I have removed all of the optical equipment and diodes and disassembled every other component in the drive mainly because I felt it would simply be in bad form to have stuff still untouched and also because I don't know when I will be able to get my hands on another drive. So I have the diodes, but I need to identify them. Does anyone know, or can point me in the direction of finding out, what lasers come in a:
LITE-ON IT CORP. DVD/CD REWRITABLE DRIVE MODEL SHW-160P6S?

I would be very grateful. I have tried looking for stickies. I have tried looking for threads with the same model drive. I even tried google. Thanks in advance!

Definately just do what I did with mine. For sure thats the way to go.

Nah, um, how many diodes did you get out?

the lens will have a tint to it....i believe it is a blue tint for the red

Its al good! Iheard they are generally ~300mw so sounds fair

Is there any way to judge it by which one reflects from the PBS cube and which one goes straight through?

Also, one of them had one lens in front and the other had 2 lenses....don't know if that helps or not

dude whats wrong with you!! you need to fix your sentences.
he wants to find out which diode is red and which is IR.

wannaburn do any of the diodes have a tint on the window?
(tilt it in the light)

One of them I cannot get out of the Heatsink, but the other does have a slight tint...when I tilt it around it flashes different colors

the IR diode might have a crystal glued to the front of its HS?
