Default help with fandy fire host and heatsink

Hey guys I'm new to laser building and I was doing some searching but I can't find the answer I got a fandy fire host from dx.com the xg-v5. And I got a heatsink from survivallaser.com but the heat sink doesn't fit into the end of the housing. Did I buy the wrong one? Or do I have to file the opening bigger on the host?

Default Re: help with fandy fire host and heatsink

I assume you are talking about this one: FandyFire XG-V5 CREE XP-G R5 WC 5-Mode 350-Lumen White LED Memory Flashlight - Silver (1 x 18650) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme That is not a standard host people use to build lasers. You need to have someone machine a heat sink to fit that host or buy a Survival Laser host to fit your heat sink. Do your research before you buy the parts.
