hey guys, i got givin a HeNe tube and driver, and as i was pulling it out of the tube, (plastic that was holding it) i broke something, i need help in getting this back in working order... what should i test? ie tube wise to make sure i havnt fried something there. and what do u need to know...

What exactly did you break.
If it was glass, fraid you're stuffed.

electronic.... sorry.. i pulled it out and didnt realise that 1 or 2 wires were broken off... then i applyed power and it kinda sparked and "zapped.. then i turned it off, i thought i fried the power mosfet but replaced it and still nothing

Hook your PS leads (+ & -)up to a each end of a (any one of end prongs) a 12" FLORSESCENT tube if it lites your then your PS is OK and you broke your laser tube vaccuum seal(bummer unless it can be filled and resealed)
Ref: Red goes to the little electrode anode+ and black to the big aluminum cathode-
Laser tube voltage is 6KVmin to start then about  3KV while running.
