I have read many times on the forum that modding your laser is bad and how it would probably ruin your laser in a second but the laser i have is basically already ruined and I really want to know how to mod it. I have four other lasers exactly like it so if this one is completely trashed I wont even care at all. I know that some of you will post to me anyway that modding a laser is bad still but honestly I don't care. If someone could help me with this that would be great. :D

I was thinking that it couldn't be done haha. I actually bought a couple of these 5mW lasers off eBay hoping to pot mod a couple of them but as it turned out there was no pot :( is there anyway I could bypass a resistor of anysort to make it brighter at all?

Not really no. The newer green pens don't have pots anymore, they are just binned for power.

You might be able to use a different driver, or bench psu, to drive the module, but that's way too much effort for very low probability of success.

If it's any consolation, most of the ebay "5mW" greens are actually quite a bit more powerful.

If you can read the numbers on that chip with 8 pins, you can probably easily figure out which resistors are what. The one on the top is 1Ohm, which will just be a current sense resistor. You _could_ change this to trick the driver into thinking it's not giving enough current, but you'll never know what value ranges to use unless you know the chip.

Just by a 30 o-like laser
It should be good and better than modding, it comes with a nice host too :)
