Green laser losing power after 1 sec.

My laser is a JD-851 Laser pointer 50mw using UltraFire 1200mA 3,7V rechargable.

It's beam gets incredibly shiny, but after one sec or less, it gets less powerfull and weaker. Don't think it's about temperature, and cost me 50€, any tips?

If you shine it through a lens onto a wall, do you see the pattern change, or does it simply dim?

Like the others, I'm more inclined to blame the battery.

efest IMR16340 from a trusted vendor should fix you right up. Trusted vendor because efests have been tested, but if there are efest clones/counterfeits, they have not been tested.

Yep, those cells ship uncharged. You need to
charge it before use.
