So if you guys saw it, I made a topic recently about a red laser I built from the KEM - 400AAA PS3 diode. I broke the blu-ray by forgetting to discharge the capacitor. Anyways, I can't seem to focus my laser to infinity. I don't know how to do it. I can get it focused for distance, but it seems to not stay the same size.

Here are some images of the beam at close and long distances.

Hear is the laser focused as best as I can get it at 20 feet.

This is somewhat of an issue for me because I like to have distance on my laser. Thanks in advance to all who help me.

Guys it WAY easier than any measuring or any of that.

Take the laser out at night. Put it parallel with your eyes and focus it so the sides of the beam are parallel. I usually look up into the CLOUDY sky when I do it. Cloudy so you can see the end of the beam and so you don't go hitting/pissing off pilots.

Yeah the lens is definitely not backwards, and the beam is kinda hard to see in the sky if I make it parallel to my eyes. I would have to look from where the beam is hitting back to the laser itself. Also, searching for tips gave me a "No topics found" page. So I was forced to post.

If you did that, All you would see is splash light. Looking down the laser is the best. You know that
Parallel = H

Perpendicular = T

Right?

When the forum search does not help, use Google

If the lens is right, then just do as told in the topic I posted above

If you want, do the following:
Aim the laser as far as possible (without trying to focus), then adjust the lens to the point be as small as possible, aim at a greater distance than the previous one and adjust again to the point be as small as possible, and keep doing it far as you can
