Default First DIY

hey, i just got my module today, which makes everything i need in my house to make a laser. I have the MXDL 3405, but the laser does not seem to fit inside, it wiggles about half way through and then stops. Should i try the other way (so from outside trying to get inwards?)
And also, my aixiz module looks broken, http://hightechdealz.com/index.php?m...mage&pID=9 on that pic, that black piece is pushed down pretty far, so far that the end piece does not screw in. jw if i can take the black peice out just a tad, so the lense will screw back in. ty

I have never built the MXDL laser before but ill try to help...

Did you get a heatsink from jayrob? If you did just slide your module in and tighten the set screw...

What black piece? the spring? or the lens? and which end piece? do you mean the focusing ring? or do you mean the back half of the module? :-?

Ok did you loosen the set screw? Also you could put some arctic silver on the aixiz module to make it slide in better and transfer the heat better

I'm excited to hear how this works for you, I'm a loyal Artic Silver fan myself, use it in every build I do be it lasers, PC's, or even Powersupplies. Good luck with the build and you better show pics!
