Looking for some advice/recommendations on powering multiple diodes from one power source.
Specifically I am building a small cnc wood burner. The parts I want to burn/engrave are always going to be the same 2"x2" parts. The idea is I want to build a parts holder and then basically have 5 separate diodes on the same carriage all burning a different piece in unison to multiply productivity. All the parts are the same. Most of the 'kits' I see out there are for driving one diode and are designed to be compact for building into small handheld hosts etc. Any recommendations on some parts that would work well together, diodes, lens, drivers etc. I've been looking at the 445nm 1W diodes but am open to suggestions!! Perhaps I don't even need that much power, I don't need to cut anything just burn about 1mm deep in wood. Looking for a economical long life solution. Also, how fine of resolution do the available lens provide? I need to burn clean 1/2" tall text on hardwood.
Thanks!!
