Hey y'all I am curious if a standard 2 "AA" battery holder would be fine to hold 2 18650 3.7V li-ion 300mAh batteries or would i need a different battery pack?:undecided: Would there be a problem with using a standard pack from like radioshack or should i get somthing different? I saw these 2 on ebay.

1) 1 x 1S2P 3.7V 18650 Holder Case Battery w/ Li-ion PCM Protection Circuit Module | eBay

2) 1 x 2S1P 7.4V 18650 Holder with Battery Build-in PCM Protection Circuit Module | eBay

If my laser need 2 3.7V li-ion batteries then would i get the double pack that says 3.7V or 7.4V??? Kind of confused me.

Let me know guys!:)

Thanks!

Depends on the host, do a little research and reading. And no a AA holder won't work.

Well I just found out the hard way. An 18650 battery is huge compared to a AA. A special battery hold just for the 18650 will be needed. I have a thread going right now that show the size different between AA and 18650.

^Not good for high current applications. I've bought similar. They use 28awg wire and steel spring. Anything over half-amp or so and the voltage drop will be unacceptable. Get a more expensive one.
