just give it a try. about the worst most common thing to happen will be blowing the diode. they are around $12.00 for an LPC-815 or a PHR-803T.

then you will have some experience at least.

JUST so everyone knows, Urvi sent me his build, and was shipped to him today finished and lazing beautifly.

i think there may have been a few doubt about me "not harsh ones, just doubts" because i was fairly new to LPF. BUT i am a very experianced DIY'er with many years of experiance with electronics and optical applications.

Just wanted to clear those doubts and say that urvi's build was a complete success, and he seems very, very pleased. there were a few bumps in the road due to shipping issues that had nothing to do with me. but other than that everything went smooth as butter. and i always take my time on all of my projects. better done right the first time than the third time.
