Attaching leads from driver to host

I just got the Aurora C6 host for a laser I'm building, but I can't figure out where to attach the positive and negative leads to it.
The part where the two wires go into the battery compartment is one solid piece of metal, so maybe I have to run a wire down to the spring?

Ok. I just somehow destroyed the diode that was supposed to go into it, so I'll have to either get another one or an LED.
