Hey again,

Just thought i'd ask a question..but I've been seeing the name "Aixiz" tossed around very often on this forum in regards to modules. Like mostly that it is the most preferred. What I want to know is why?

More specifically, If I want to make a relatively weak build, can I try any other brand modules (preferably cheap)?

Aixiz modules are the cheapest !

Hmm, alright, I guess my friend misled me on prices then, I'll check myself.

Like I'm not trying to do anything exotic. I'm trying to make about a 40-50mW red laser (630-660nm).

Any tips on any specific parts I can try to get for this? I can easily get the diode by an electronics repair shop I know.

You can use anything you want... It IS your build...
You should read the Stickies and the Tutorials in the Forum
to get you up to speed...
Then you can check the B/S/T section for available parts..

Aixiz modules are okay... but I prefer the O-like 18mm housings like these (blue/violet lens, red).

Well, 18mm is a little big for a 5.6mm diode lol. Does O-like have anything about 9mm?

No, o-like has these big ones and a 10pack of aixiz modules.

I can do the 10 pack of Aixiz modules for $25 with 2-3 day delivery US instead of waiting a few weeks from china. Or a 3 pack for $12.:beer:
