Acceptable Batteries for WL Pulsar-Fusion Question

Hey Guys,  [smiley=vrolijk_26.gif]

I just purchased a WL Fusion 125mw and a WL Pulsar 150mw.  [smiley=happy.gif]

I noticed quite a difference in output after just a few minutes of using standard 1.5's.
Will the 1.2 re-charge work in these? Or is the .6 voltage loss too much of a drop to lase these?
What about the Lithium 1.7 Energizers? I have heard that some of the cheapy greenie's love the 1.7's. Will the extra .4 volts overdrive the LD in these WL's?
Or am I stuck w/ the 1.5's?
Let me know your thoughts.  ;D

Thanks!

Re: Acceptable Batteries for WL Pulsar-Fusion Ques

The fusion will take anything and should be fine.

The pulsar is best with alkalines. DO NOT use lithiums in the pulsar, it'll kill the diode. NiMH work, but won't run it as powerful - the pulsar is direct drive from the batteries.

Re: Acceptable Batteries for WL Pulsar-Fusion Ques

Thanks Pseudo,  ;)
It seems every different model likes different batteries for one reason or another and the wealth of knowledge out here is invaluable. Thanks again for your input.
Regards,
Joe
